PANNA COTTA Panna Cotta, or Italian for "Cooked Cream" is a simple dessert, made by thickening cream with gelatin and flavouring it. It is an amazing companion for berries and fruits, but can also be flavoured with coffee, caramel or even rum. What is really interesting about this dish is it's simplicity to make! Here's my favourite recipe: Ingredients (Serves 2): 250ml fresh heavy cream 50ml milk 50g castor sugar Flavouring (Vanilla, if you want to go classic, but you can use coffee, caramel, rum, or chocolate) Unflavoured Gelatin Cold water Toppings (Mint leaf, berries, chocolate shavings, peanut brittle, or whatever your plating requires) Preparation: Mix the heavy cream, milk and sugar in a saucepan and wait till it just starts to boil.
